1. Account Registration & Responsibilities

To participate fully in the Volant Poetry community, you must create an account with accurate and current information.

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• One account per person. Duplicate accounts are prohibited and will result in immediate termination.
• All activity conducted through your account is your responsibility.

2. Poetry Submission Guidelines

Volant Poetry celebrates original human creativity. All submitted work must adhere to the following standards:

• All poems must be your original work. Plagiarism is strictly forbidden.
• AI generated content is not permitted. We celebrate authentic human expression.
• You retain full ownership of your poems. By submitting, you grant Volant Poetry a non-exclusive license to display your work on the platform.
• You may publish your poems elsewhere on other websites, in print, or in anthologies.
• Content that is harassing, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise harmful is prohibited and will be removed.

3. Community Conduct

• Treat all members with respect. Harassment, threats, hate speech, or personal attacks will not be tolerated.
• Provide constructive feedback. Encourage fellow poets rather than diminishing their work.
• Do not manipulate engagement metrics including likes, comments, or poem rankings through artificial means.
• Report violations to the Volant Poetry team rather than engaging in conflict.

4. Platform Use & Intellectual Property

• The Volant Poetry name, logo, and design are our intellectual property. You may not copy or reproduce them without permission.
• Automated scripts, bots, or any activity that disrupts platform performance is prohibited.
• We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms, with or without notice.
• Volant Poetry is not responsible for the content of user submitted poems or comments.

5. Volant Reads — Publishing & Sales

Volant Reads is a literary marketplace that empowers independent authors by providing a platform to sell their works while retaining ownership and receiving the majority of sales revenue. The following terms apply to all authors and readers using the Volant Reads platform:

• Authors who publish through Volant Reads receive 90% of net revenue from sales of their works. Net revenue is calculated after payment processing fees, taxes, refunds, and chargebacks.
• Payouts are issued monthly to authors based on sales recorded during each monthly period.
• Authors retain full ownership and copyright of their works. Volant Reads is granted permission to display and sell the works.
• Users may not redistribute purchased ebooks — digital books are for personal use only.
• Volant Reads may remove content that violates its policies, including but not limited to plagiarized, harmful, or prohibited material.
• By using Volant Reads, users agree to these terms and acknowledge that continued use constitutes acceptance of any updates.

6. Violations & Enforcement

• First time violations typically result in a warning and content removal.
• Repeated violations, duplicate accounts, or severe offenses including harassment and plagiarism will lead to immediate account termination without prior notice.
• Banned users may not create new accounts to circumvent enforcement.
• We reserve the right to suspend access to any user at our discretion.

7. Limitation of Liability

Volant Poetry is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to data loss, service interruptions, or disputes between users.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Continued use of Volant Poetry after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be announced via email or platform notification.
